Participating Institutions

Since 2010, the Centre as a cross-faculty institution has been a part of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Philosophy, which provides the necessary institutional backing for the implementation of the cooperative and interdisciplinary strategies of CAS amongst its participating institutions. The Centre for Area Studies is currently based upon a network of 19 university institutes and non-university research centres. The affiliated institutions cover both a wide range of investigated world regions as well as academic disciplines.
